Meditation Workshop
The purpose of the three hour workshop is to make meditation easy for the participants. Participants will be taken to the still point by a powerful guided meditation and flute music presentation. Then we will learn to return to the deep meditation state by use of the One Breath Meditation, a simple technique for restoring deep awareness and consciousness. We will explore the kinds of thinking and philosophy that lead to and support this higher consciousness: T.S. Eliot, Lao Tzu, Rumi, and John's own Emanations teachings, constantly returning to the meditative state to reinforce the technique with emphasis on the experiential. A thirty dollar love offering is suggested but participants are encouraged to give as they can afford. Your generosity is appreciated. No one will be denied the experience for financial considerations.

Making Your Own Heart Drum
Drum making workshops and individual private sessions can be arranged to create your drum with your personal energy in its vibration.

Platform Talks

Church Services
Allow John to enhance your service with the special beauty of Native American flute as incidental music for your service.

Native American Flute for Your Wedding
The haunting and beautiful voice of the Native American flute creates a very special and unique feeling for your wedding. The Native American flute is often called the love flute. It was used in courtship to establish the bond of sacred beauty for the young couple. Consider using the Native American flute for an unforgettably beautiful musical experience to begin the most important relationship of your life.

Labyrinth Walk
A labyrinth differs from a maze. It is a spiritual path to be walked in a meditative state. The pattern is laid out so there are no wrong turns. The walk is a metaphor for the walk of life. We enter and follow our path, moving continually toward the center though the pattern may make it seem as if we are moving away from it. We reach the center and contemplate.

If you have a labyrinth or access to one, John can come and play the flute for a labyrinth walk. Or if you would like to build a labyrinth John can consult with you on it’s creation.

Spiritual Counseling: Revealing The Secret

Spirituality and Life.
Spirituality is more than a purification for the afterlife or the search for ultimate enlightenment. It is the very meaning of life. It brings joy and beauty to consciousness and allows us to transcend reality. That means to go beyond, not to avoid or evade. It means to deal with and rise above, thereby raising reality to newer and higher levels.

The Problem is not the Problem.
The pain we live with on a daily basis goes in two directions, conscious and unconscious. It is the conscious pain that we notice. But quite often the problem is not the problem. The problem we experience is usually a symptom of the problem, not the real problem. So we do all kinds of things to treat our symptoms, like drugs, alcohol, tobacco, eating, sex, shopping, gambling, arguing, or we may trudge unhappily along with sadness, fear, nerves, loss, illnesses. The variations of our pain are endless.

The Secret.
There is a secret John will share with you. Over many, many years he has been writing, sharing, performing, teaching this secret. However, it can be spoken openly and clearly and still remain a secret.

Here is the secret: Stillness.

Now what does that really mean?
That is perhaps why it stays a secret from so many. Lao Tzu, the great Chinese philosopher, once said, “Stillness is the greatest revelation.” T.S. Eliot said, “At the still point, there the dance is.”

The Journey.
Let John take you into the stillness. There you become the observer self. Your soul, the conscious and unconscious abilities created within you, the divine, these energies are freed by the stillness to do their natural healing work.

Let John cajole, coax, guide, and teach you the way of this path. In the stillness the real, meaningful conversation with our lives paradoxically begins. Rumi called it, Sohbet, the divine dialogue.

Commentary on John's Performance

I was invited to a small Midwestern college about two hours from where I live to hear a man speak to a group of college students. What an opportunity it turned out to be!

As the evening began the speaker rose from the back of the room, walked to the front and began to weave his spell. Unlike most people, who have multifaceted personalities, this man had no facets. There was only a small bright flame standing before us.

A flame so intense, it drew everyone into its center, warmed them and held them captive. This was no ordinary man before us. This man was almost pure energy. His love and enthusiasm made it impossible not to focus entirely on him.

Like a modern day pied piper, he led us on an incredible journey filled with music, stories, myths and meditations.

Questions were asked, good questions, honest questions and the answers were those of a holy man. He said the answers lay within the questions and his responses were both thought provoking and inspiring.

By the end of the evening, his love and light had expanded until it wrapped around every single person, filled the room, poured out the windows and down the staircase. It is one thing to read about such people, to watch movies about enlightened teachers and wise leaders, but to actually sit in the presence of one is a blessed experience.

He finished speaking and, unlike most college gatherings, there was no great rush for the door. No one moved. No one wanted to leave. Everyone lingered on and on. And when they did leave, each one took home a gift, a small token of the evening, his or her own key to the center point and the memory of what it was like to be there.
